دَعْوَةٌ مُخْتَصَرَةٌ جَامِعَةٌ فِي التَوَسُّلِ بِالذَّاتِ وَالصِّفَاتِ

DA‘AWATUN MUKHTASARATUN JĀMI‘ATUN FĪ-T TAWASSUL BI-DH DHĀT WA-S SIFĀT

A SHORT, COMPREHENSIVE MEDIATION THROUGH THE ESSENCE AND ATTRIBUTES (OF ALLAH)


يَارَبِّ بِالذَّاتِ وَبِالصِّفَاتِ # فَكُنْ لَنَا فِي سَائِرِ الْحَالاَتِ

Ya Rabbi bi-dh Dhāti wa bi-s Sifāti # fakun lanā fī sā'iri-l hālāti

My Lord! By the Essence and the Attributes.
Be for us in all of our states


ثَبِّتْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ # ولْتَهْدِنَا لِعَمَلِ الْإِحْسَانِ

Thabit qulūbanā ‘alā-l īmāni # waltahdinā li-‘amali-l ihsāni

Make firm our hearts upon faith,
And guide us to excellent works.


أُنْظُرْ إِلَيْنَا وَانْصُرَنَّ الدِّيْنَا # أَدِّحُقُوقَنَا وَأَدِّ الدَّيْنَا

Unzur ilaynā wansuranna-d deenā # addi huqūqanā wa addi-d daynā

Look upon us and assist us in our religion,
And satisfy our rights and settle our debts.


وَهَبْ لَنَا ذُرِّيَّةً مُبَارَكَهْ # تَكُونُ لِلّٰهِ بِلاَ مُشَارَكَهْ

Wa-Hab lanā dhuriyyatan mubārakah # takūnu li-llahi bilā mushārakah

And grant us a blessed offspring,
That will be for Allah without any partner.


وَاجْزِ لِكُلِّ مَنْ إِلَيْنَا أَحْسَنَا # وَ جَازِهِ عَنَّا الْجَزَاءَ الْأَحْسَنَا

Wajzi li-kulli man ilaynā ahsanā #  wa jāzihi ‘annā-l jazā'a-l ah'sanā 

And reward anyone who has treated us well,
And grant them on our behalf the best reward.


بِالْمُصْطَفَى الشَّفِيعَ يَوْمَ الْمَحْشَرِ # خَيْرِ الْوَرَى مَنْ قَدْحُبِي بِالْكَوْثَرِ

Bi-l Mustafā Ash-Shafee‘i yawma-l mah'shari # khayri-l warā man qad hubbī bi-l kawthari

By the Chosen One, the Intercessor on the Day of Gathering, 
The Best of Mankind who has been granted the Abundance. 


عَلَيْهِ صَلَّىٰ رَبُّنَا وَسَلَّمَا # وَفَاضَ بِالْخَيْرِ لَنَا وَعَمَّمَا

‘Alayhi sallā Rabbunā wa sallamā # wa fāda bi-l khayri lana wa ‘ammamā

Upon him let our Lord send blessings and peace,
And outpour upon us all good and make it comprehensive.
